Beginda Minda resigns from PRS

According to what I read from The Broken Shield, Beginda Minda has resigned from PRS. Beginda had previously been suspended and, given a show cause letter by PRS.

[Beginda+Pic.jpg].
Beginda has resigned on the basis that he was dissatisfied.

More ominously for PRS and BN Sarawak, Beginda called on PRS members who shared his dissatisfaction to resign from the party as there was nothing that the party could offer them. “All business opportunities, contracts and government posts have been taken by the big brothers in the Barisan Nasional,” he said.

Apparently a dinner party is to be held on 15 November in Sibu where Pakatan leader, Anwar Ibrahim will be a guest of honour. Beginda and several grassroots leaders of PRS are expected to attend the function.

In light of Sarawak's looming state elections, these must be regarded as early tactical moves and, indications of a more concerted and earnest awakening of the hitherto docile Dayak community in Sarawak whose plight PRS and BN Sarawak ignores at their own peril.

i seriously doubt sarawakians will be willing to break the stranglehold of BN...

the recent election already indicated how "reluctant" they are in electing opposition MP candidates to represent them...

I was just thinking, isn't Sarawak's political circumstances similar to S.Africa ? Minority ruling the state and abusing power and neglecting the majority.

BN Sarawak (Taib in particular) should take a leaf from Obama. The change is nigh!

Wanna bet? ;) There are several tipping points that are quite evident already. I'll discuss it over several posts.

ben

Don't mention anything about taking leaves. De-forestation is a serious political issue, especially in Sarawak. Exfoliation from natural seasonal patterns, on the other hand, is ok since it's from Mother Nature :D

myop101,

Some time last year I started mentioning that change is imminent to family members, friends and even my gp but they all give me the same remark as you (sure or not !) and a stare too. March 8 tells us a different story.

Obama's victory is another inspiration to many on the other side of the fence throughout the world.

de minimis,
Ooops! Looks like Sarawakian will need to create a new dictionary minus all the environmentally sensitive words. Hehehe!
