Pete's coming out

I read with great pleasure the Malaysiakini report by Hafiz Yatim that, in a ruling that will send great cheers throughout the length and breadth of Malaysia, the Shah Alam High Court this morning decided that the detention of Raja Petra Kamarudin under the ISA was illegal and ordered his immediate release.
.
MCPX
Judge Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad said that RPK's detention was unconstitutional.

He said that the Home Minister had not followed the proper procedure under Section 8 of the ISA to issue the detention order against RPK.

The judge also ordered that RPK, be produced in court by 4pm today after which he should be immediately released.

Justice may flicker on and off, but today it has a bright radiant glow.

Bravo! the first good news in a long while. Those on the amcorp mall virgil should celebrate. I can make some saucy suggestions if only to rehabilitate wooden economists who don't check their mailboxes enough.

;P

Oi! Email again. Now I'm dutifully checking my regular email and the spam portion. Leave the saucy stuff for later. Don't waste it here :D

Like you, I hope that won't happen. Such an action will make the BN government look really bad. Not just in Malaysia but internationally. It would be very embarassing in the first statement made by President-elect Obama on Malaysia is to call for the release of RPK.

In my books, you should be awarded a Tunship.
