Valuecrap

I read with askance The Malaysian Insider reports entitled, Question marks over Valuecap debt and Sailing lessons in riding out global financial storm.

Having made the initial calls in posts entitled, Calendaritis and EPF to lend RM5b to fund Valuecap when the news first broke on Najib's maiden foray as MOF1, I've been content to passively read subsequent analyses.

But, The Malaysian Insider pieces are not mere reportage. They provide a deeper account of the troubled state of Valuecap's present financial health. As I said, read with with askance. Or, nausea.

You mean value-ripoff?

How come this only suddenly appear?

It's now using rakyat retirement money to bail out government misadventures on stock market. And they want RM5Billion to do it in this depressed situation?

Stop it.

Salam,

I take it the title was not a typo error? :)

Very worrying news!. This is not the way I want to see our retirement funds headed towards, its too risky. MOF scores an "F" in this latest move

Valuec"r"ap is actually a short covering for somebody's ass (you know who ?) who made a blunder in currency speculatio, then valuec"r"ap 1 in 2004 (taxpayers money) and now with the stock market doing badly, he needs valuec"r"ap 2 (our EPF money)to cover the big hole. Now he's REALLY upsetting 10.5million EPF members, what do we do ?

Where is conscience of our lawmakers, whether in BN or PR ? How can they allow this to happen ?

If he wants to bet then by all means use his own money lah!

MOF 1 has been FOOLED by his trick to cover his ass!

Have u ever wonder the RM5B loan from EPF might be used to repay another loan instead of being used for share investment. Valuecap is owing its shareholders RM5.1B in the form of bonds maturing in March next year after a 3 years extension. If so, Valuecap, pls asks for another extension, don't ever touch the EPF money, go and asks from BNM for a loan.
